Since 2019, I've helped dozens of businesses automate their process for sending invoices, across all sorts of industries. Industries like:

Time given back to teams to focus on the things that are more important.
Now, the framework we use to drive this change is distilled into a single 14 page document.
It can be used by any business that doesn't collect payment at the point of sale (in person or online stores).
In other words, you have to create and send an invoice.
There are loads of tutorials, PDFs, courses and more out there to teach you the technical process for integrating two systems and automating a process.
I intentionally chose to make this a non-technical document.
Most of this document will talk about the "soft skills" needed to automate how you create invoices. The things that I repeatedly see teams fail at, and are required to have any sort of improvement in the process.
This includes things like training, sales process standardization, and more.
Of course, there is also a diagram in here for the actual steps to build a workflow and automate invoice creation.
It just focuses more on some of the intangibles.
I will be releasing more technical guides in the future, but given that this topic is less covered I felt it was important to start here.
